Skirt: Japan, Belt: Pollux Clothing Company, Turtleneck: Dress Barn,
Jeans: Hollister, Wedges: Payless
I am loving this fall weather. The past few days have been perfect. Yesterday, Dustin and I spent the whole day together running errands, meeting friends for lunch, and just being together before I would eventually drop him off at his
home for the next few months; a tour bus. Dustin has a good sense of style. Had you been in my house the other night, you would have caught him reading my Vogue magazine (Ssh, you didn't hear that from me), and so I usually will run my outfits past Dustin if he happens to be home while I am dressing for the day. The weather yesterday was supposed to be in the high 60's, low 70's so I immediately ran to pull out my favorite winter staple, a stretchy knit turtleneck. Do you remember that feeling back in high school, when the weather was getting warmer and you just didn't know if it was too early to rock a pair of shorts? Well, this is sorta how I felt about this turtle neck. Was it too early in the season yet? Well, why not ask my trusty husband I thought. He usually encourages me to go for things....but to my surprise he said, "uhh its a little early, Kate."
....hmm, I thought for a sec...What does he know...I'm wearing it anyway. So much for praising my husband. Ahh, he's a good sport. And he ended up totally approving my finished ensemble.
This outfit is prove that I am fulfilling my
goal #3! These shoes: several years old, my "skirt" is actually a shirt I bought in Japan almost five years ago, my turtleneck; I bought it at DRESS BARN while shopping with and for my grandma probably 3 or 4 years ago. The belt belongs to a dress and my jeans...well I wore them instead of leggings. Does that count?
And my hubby...well he is safe and sound and on his way to Texas for their first show tonight. If you want to follow his adventures, you can do so on Instagram @plaidowlmusic or on
Twitter. Or you can follow the band
here and check out tour dates
here. If you happen to see him in concert, make sure to say hi and bring him cookies...he loves cookies!
