During my afternoon movie, I finally got around to working on a fun DIY project that I have been meaning to do for the past few weeks. Last year I was so inspired by a wreath that one of my friends made, that this year I decided to do one of my own with a little mk twist. Since I already had most of the supplies, this wreath only cost me about a dollar to make.
You will need a styrofoam wreath (I got mine for a dollar at Target), two shades of yarn, feathers, a scissors and a hot glue gun.
Start by gluing the end of your dominate yarn color to the back of the wreath. Wrap your yarn tightly around the wreath, stopping every few wraps to reinforce the yarn with glue. When the wreath is about 3/4 of the way wrapped, cut and glue the end of the dominate color to the back of the wreath. Then glue and wrap the rest of the wreath with your secondary color. When the wreath is completely wrapped, cut the yarn and glue the end of the strand to the back. Take a few choice feathers and slip them neatly behind the yarn and glue to reinforce. Add a bow to give the accent a nice finished look.
I really love how the wreath turned out! So easy! Enjoy! ♥, mK
