today

Today is a project day. I've been working on all new products for my Etsy shop. Last fall, when we first moved to Nashville, I solely made and sold my items online, but then when January hit, I went out and got an outside-the-home job. So, now that I am back to the drawing board, the last few days I have been coming up with all new styles and getting ready to give Etsy a second round. I'm pretty pumped about it, but also praying A LOT! If it works out like it did last November and December, it would be quite a brilliant scenario for life right now. Say a prayer for me, would you?

On the menu for project days: Ice water (a trait I picked up from my mother in law), Freeze pops, and easy-to-eat-while-I-work foods like crackers, brie and hummus. mmm!

Where I am working: In our dining room slash my desk. I really do feel bad for Dustin because he has no place to eat because I don't like getting everything out each day...so if he is cool with it, I just leave it out for a few days in a row. Seriously, its disaster zone!

What I am listening to while I work: Yesterday it was a lot of dubstep and electronic like Skrillex, Madeon, Benny Benassi & Deadmau5. What can I say, I am my husband's wife. But today, yesterday's me is having a fit as I am jamming out to Demi Lovato radio on Pandora. But most days are sound-tracked by the lovely Kimbra.

Reality Checks: Asking myself if I'll get enough business. Wishing I didn't want to take a nap as soon as it hits 2:30 - especially since the couch is only three feet away and Modern Family Season two is conveniently already in the DVD player. Yesterday I was triumphant, today not so much. Oi!

So, my in-house photographer, *cough cough*, I mean my husband is so generously going to help me get some good product photos tomorrow and I'll soon update my Etsy shop! That puts a smile on my face! ♥, mK
