The Guest > Surf & Turf with Jeremy
A few weeks ago, our guestroom had an occupant and his name is Jeremy. Jeremy is a high school athletic trainer from Detroit and a blast from our past. Jeremy and I met back when I lived in Australia and hadn't seen each other for about five years! Ca-razy! We took Jeremy all over Nashville, saw a few shows, ate some amazing Nashville cuisine and caught up! But, one thing that I was so excited about is when Jeremy agreed to come on my blog as one of my guestroom guests! And Jeremy is going to show you all how to make this fabulous meal he made for Dustin and I during his visit. Let me tell you, it was a-mazing! You simply must try it! Oh and one more thing before we get started...Jeremy is single, ladies! If you want his number, let me know! I'll hook you up!
Salmon: You'll want to prepare this first & cook it while beef and asparagus are cooking.
You'll need: Fresh Ginger root, fresh garlic, salmon, olive oil (preferably extra virgin) salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme & lemon.
How to: Line sheet with foil (inch deep dish works great), chop garlic, finely dice ginger.
Lightly salt and pepper the salmon. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over salmon. Drizzle olive oil over salmon, nice coating over top the fish. Sprinkle ginger and garlic over top. Add a sprig of rosemary and thyme to the top of each fillet. Place in the oven for 12-15 minutes at 450 F or until cooked through.
Asparagus & Risotto: For the Risotto, use this recipe!
For the asparagus you'll need: Asparagus, olive oil, salt & pepper.
How to: Throw asparagus in a pan with olive oil, salt 'n pepper and cook, rotating as needed.
For the steak you'll need: Steaks fillets, salt, pepper
How to: Sprinkle steaks with salt & pepper and leave to sit until at room temperature. Grill or cook until medium rare. Tip > The steaks cook the fastest of all four items, so you'll want to cook them last. Let steaks rest in an aluminum foil 'tent' after cooked.
Prepare your plate as desired and enjoy! Thanks Jeremy! ♥, mK
