Red Point

Back from Vacay! I am so glad we made plans to make the trip up north to visit my family! First of all, my family turned it into a full on vacation for Dustin and I, not just a visit. We went all over, from the beach to the bay, bike rides and swimming on the farm, BBQ's to backyard chats. Second, I decided not to blog (I created posts ahead of time) or email while away! It was truly wonderful and extremely refreshing!

Since our still-recent move to Nashville, meeting new people has been a great, rewarding experience, but it has been a while since I have been surrounded by family - those who just know me inside and out. And as much as I love our new home and our new friends in TN, it was that 11th hour on our drive back that I let out a sigh and found myself incredibly relieved when Dustin just looked at me and said "I know". I had a nice cry, later to find out apparently so did my sister Amanda. I'll be the first to tell you that chasing your dreams and doing whatever it takes (like moving) is worth it, but not without great sacrifice. I miss being near family, both mine and Dustin's. With that said, I would also like to add that I AM incredibly thankful for the times we get to visit and vacation with them. It's kinda like my favorite candy...bittersweet chocolate! What are you thankful for today? ♥, mK
