For the love of crafting

I love crafting. I always have and I believe I always will. As a kid I remember making things like food for my stuffed animals out of sculpy three clay, a bed for my American girl doll with the power-tools in my friend's dad's workshop, or making very homey forts whether it be in the basement, our treehouse, an old reefer truck, a pile of boxes, under the deck, in the snow, or wherever else I could hang blankets for ceilings. Now days, everything has gotten so sophisticated with the help of blogs and Pinterest. I don't know how some people do it. How they are able to make thing after thing after thing and not break the bank, or on another note, how do they have space for all of these crafty ideas?

Me over here, I live in the world outside of the internet. I don't have the extra cash flow to foot the bill to make different kinds of crafts every day of the week. I also don't have the space. Our family room is already starting to look borderline craft sale. But, for the love of crafting, I just had to make something...and make something outside my normal sewing and crocheting. So, I did what any normal person would do, right? I asked my husband if I could (or more if it was possible to) paint our TV. And to my surprise...he said yes.

I was thrilled!! I pulled out the seemingly bottomless can of chalkboard paint that I store with our small supply of tools and painted to my heart's desire. It was awesome. Will it make it far on Pinterest? I don't know... haha, but it was fun, and thats what matters. Right?

What is a craft you did lately, and loved? ♥, mK
