Six Pix of the Fourth
Happy two Days after the Fourth of July! It feels a bit weird to have a holiday smack dab in the middle of a work week, eh? Nonetheless, it was a great day and super encouraging to me because these holidays away from family are getting easier and easier. Maybe it's because we have found ourselves cozied up to what has seem to become our Nashville family. Who wouldn't want to cozy up to a family with five girls and two boys? The Walters are seriously the best! This is the second holiday we've spent with them and I imagine there will be more to come.
Earlier in the day I went to a nearby-neighborhood BBQ put on by an amazing couple, Greg and Mary, local Mystery Bookstore owners -- who are also regulars at the coffee shop I work at, AKA "The Plus". My friend (and co-worker) Ashley, Dustin and I went and had lunch. It felt like small-town America! But, just wait...and for the cherry on top, a long-lost friend from my days of life in Australia came to visit for the evening. My friend Eryn is moving to Nashville in a few short weeks and guess where she is settling in? Seriously right across the street. It's pretty cool when ONE friend from Australia moves down the street from you, but Eryn is the SECOND friend of mine from my life in Australia to move in across the street! Ca-razy!! It was a pretty great day! It's nice to have pretty-great days every now and then, isn't it!! How was your holiday? ♥, mK
