Pretty Nails

The other day I was experimenting with nail polish and acrylic paint! I was pretty excited about this design and had plenty of space to show 'em off in the mornings at work, handing out coffee after latte after mocha! Needless to say, this design was approved by quite a few women! Gotta love affirmation! Thank you random women buying coffee!

To get the look, grab two colors of acrylic paint, a few toothpicks, clear coat and two colors of nail polish! Get your nails all sanded down and smooth, apply your first color and your ready to make them all pretty.

With a steady hand, paint on half diamonds. They don't have to be perfectly straight because in the next step, you'll use acrylic paint to make them appear straighter.

Shake the paint and use the cap to hold a tiny amount of paint. This is great for easy clean up! Using the toothpick, create tightly lined dots around the half diamond. The second outline of dots you will do almost the same thing, however spaced apart... and with your second color.

Let your nails dry before applying a clear coat and enjoy! A few days later, my nails are still holding up with only a few little chips - totally repairable to make them last for a few more days! Well, Dustin and I are off for an afternoon date before I loose him to the weekend. He's doing his first 48 hour film festival this weekend and I couldn't be more excited for him! Have a great weekend ya'll! ♥, mK
