Sparkling Blueberry Smoothie & Italian Ice

Fruit is my go-to snack in the summer, so smoothies are naturally right up there on the list! I don't usually ever use a recipe when it comes to smoothies, but after I made this concoction, I figured I better document it because it was just that good!

In a blender, mix frozen blueberries (New Jersey has the best!), handful of ice, one nectarine, one frozen banana and top it off with sparkling wine. I used MARTINI & ROSSI® Sparkling Rosé. All that is next to do is blend and enjoy!

Another summer snack I love is Italian Ice. I am not sure if that is a North East thing because Dustin had never even heard of it, as well as a few others. But basically, it is simply amazing! My favorite kind is Rita's Italian Ice which started in Pennsylvania. Aren't all the best snack foods from Pennsylvania? I do believe this to be true...but then again, most great things come from PA? Wink Wink! I joke, I joke!

So, considering there are only four Rita's in all of TN, none of which are in Nashville, this home-made version does just the trick. Simply take the blended smoothie and pour it into little jars or cups. Freeze. And once again, Enjoy! Mmm! ♥, mK
